Pizza Coordinator

The role of the Pizza Coordinator is to support Parents' Association fund raising activities by organizing the purchase and distribution of pizza at the Branch. This position is located at the following TFS school branches:

1) La p'tite école

2) Junior School

3) Senior School

This position is a voting member of the Parents' Association Council (PAC).

Key Duties:

  • Submit an annual budget at the Autumn PAC meeting in accordance with financial requirements described in the PA Constitution.
  • Recruit and coordinate a team of volunteers to execute Pizza Day activities.
  • Provide Aramark with Pizza Day information which includes; dates for the school year, and orders for fruits, vegetables and dessert. In addition, reconfirm the order with Aramark prior to each Pizza Day.
  • Be present at all Pizza Days to supervise and coordinate activities or have a committee member designated to do so.
  • Organize the following number of Pizza Days: La p'tite école - 15, Junior School - 15, Senior School - 6.
  • Maintain accurate expenses; fill out PA expense requisitions in a timely manner for reimbursement for any out of pocket expenses on behalf of the PA.
  • Work closely with the PA treasurer to ensure accurate accounting.
  • Prepare a report on events for the school year to be included in the PA AGM.

Other PA Duties:

  • As a member of the PAC, act as an ambassador and resource for parents and administration to encourage an inclusive TFS community.
  • Attend all monthly PAC meetings, participate in discussions and vote as required.
  • Remain in good standing on the PAC and maintain strict adherence to the TFS Code of Conduct and PA Constitution.

Key skills/abilities/experience:

  • Prior experience in a Standing Committee Chair position is an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a team of volunteers.
  • Must have solid communication skills, and ability to pursue a confidential and diplomatic approach with all TFS stakeholders.

Commitment:

  • The post is for one year and can be renewed for up to four consecutive years.
  • The time commitment required is on average 6 - 8 hours a month which includes, preparation of work, Pizza Day coordination and attendance at various meetings ie. PAC/committee meetings.
