Used Uniform Sale Coordinator

The role of the Used Uniform Sales Coordinator is to support Parents' Association fund raising activities by organizing a monthly or bi-monthly Used Uniform Sale. This position is a voting member of the Parents' Association Council (PAC).

Key Duties:

  • Submit an annual budget at the Autumn PAC meeting in accordance with financial requirements described in the PA Constitution.
  • Create an optimal calendar to drive sales throughout the year with support and assistance of the PA President and school administration. The expectation is to hold at least eight sales.
  • Coordinate a committee of volunteers to collect used uniforms, arrange laundering, size and organize the inventory for sales throughout the year.
  • Develop a volunteer schedule for the year with a volunteer identified for each sale day.
  • Collect an up to date student account list from the TFS Finance office at least one day prior to each scheduled sales date.
  • Maintain accounting for each sale and submit the accounts to the PA Treasurer after each sale.
  • Prepare a report to be included in the PA AGM.

Other PA Duties:

  • As a member of the PAC, act as an ambassador and resource for parents and administration to encourage an inclusive TFS community.
  • Attend all monthly PAC meetings; participate in discussions and vote as required
  • Remain in good standing on the PAC and maintain strict adherence to the TFS Code of Conduct and PA Constitution.

Key skills/abilities/experience:

  • Prior experience in a Standing Committee Chair position is an asset along with any retail experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a team of volunteers.
  • Must have solid communication skills, and ability to pursue a confidential and diplomatic approach with all TFS stakeholders.


  • The post is for one year and can be renewed for up to four consecutive years.
  • The time commitment required is on average 8-10 hours a month which includes, preparation of work and attendance in various meetings ie. PAC/committee meetings.
